Beach Day

Today was beach day!

First stop; dog beach

We walk about 1.25km on the beach. 

There's a gathering of poodle mix dogs at 9am and two of our three dogs are poodle mix dogs so we go at that time to join the oodle chaos!

It's a fantastically joyous way to start the day. 

Zoe our dachshund mix wears out with her tiny legs so she usually has to be carried back to the car.  

Second stop... swimming

Later in the day (after talking the dogs home) we went swimming along the same strip of beach. We swam for about an hour. 

Hubby's adjustable flippers broke (cost $70 & only second time using them) so on the way home we had to go shopping and get some better fitted ones for both of us.  

I'll be at the beach a lot swimming in the coming weeks as it's good therapy for my ankle and foot after surgery 3 weeks ago. So the flippers are a good investment.  There's some great snorkeling nearby too, so they'll get lots of use in the long run.
