Plantar Fascia Release Surgery

Yesterday was surgery day: plantar fascia release and neurolysis. I've had constant chronic heel pain since January and had tried conservative treatments but after over 9 months it was time to undergo surgery as chronic plantar fascia pain generally doesn't respond to conservative treatments and surgery is necessary.
In layman's terms as I understand it:
The surgery goal is to lengthen the thickened fascia by cutting it and allowing the fascia to fill in the gap left by surgery.
All went well, but it was a looong day yesterday and I slept about 15hrs once we got home in the afternoon.
Now I have to keep weight off it for a week and then ease back in to weight bearing the following week.
Stitches out on the 24th.
4 weeks in the moon boot.
