Life Governed by Desire is Unsatisfying

I've recently been exposed to an individual that I found it difficult to spend time with. On mulling the problem I realized that she is desire driven. As a yoga practitioner my readings of yoga theory and Buddhist philosophy make me conscious of how a life governed by desire can be problematic. That awareness makes me wary of individuals who allow desire to drive their every move. They are chronically unsatisfied with their lives.

Here's a great article that deals with that topic:

So consider a self analysis of your day and the decisions you make as it goes on. Is there a balance between things you desire and things that are necessary in your schedule? An imbalance towards desire driven activities can lead to problems in many ways. Just a thought to ponder as your week continues.

Yoga on the lawn in the sunshine today was a great time to ruminate on this and I feel clearer about why I have the feelings I have, my mindset is not really compatible with that of a desire driven individual and that's okay.
I cannot totally avoid this person but I can set boundaries and ensure I spend as little time as possible with her and meditate as needed to ensure I feel my peace and revel in that satisfaction with life.
