Cycling and Joint Care

Cycling is a terrific activity and is kind on the joints as you age, as long as your bike is properly set up. Seek professional advice if you are unsure because if your bike seat (saddle) is too low you can end up with sore knees! Today I cycled with my in-laws who are approximately 75 years old!

Here's the stats from my Garmin watch:

It was a good workout!
So at 75 this pair are doing well to be able to cycle still!
I also walked home from my podiatrist appt this morning (hubby dropped me off on his way to a work meeting) it was a lovely 3.3km walk in the sunshine!

The podiatrist confirmed I have plantar fasciitis and some ankle impingement due to my ankle instability - which is caused by my hypermobility spectrum disorder. So at least I can work towards some improvement with his help in the coming weeks.
