Winter is on the Way

Winter is just around the corner for us here in Western Australia! So today I got into our back bedroom and tidied up all the junk that had accumulated lately whilst we were exercising outdoors. 

This room has been designated our home gym room but it's also an overflow storage space, so there's a few things like a single mattress that are stored in here, but my mission today was to ensure I had the space to do a full yoga session without anything getting in the way! Here's how it ended up:

I did an hour of yoga to test it out and it works great! 
What's in our home gym?
  • All my health and wellness books
  • cycle trainer
  • Weights - dumbbells, kettlebell
  • Yoga equipment - blocks, straps, foam rollers etc
  • Yoga mat
  • Bench - I use the ottoman bench for a few workout moves, I'll show them another day.
  • Sturdy step stool for incline work such as incline plank
  • Whiteboard - to list priorities and tips
  • Feet Up trainer for yoga inversions
I truly enjoyed using this space today once it was tidied up!

I'm very keen to get back into this room more and build back some core strength as my back has been problematic at times lately. Our international move with the necessary focus on the unpacking and organizing the last 4 months along with the injury to my left foot, have really impacted my health and I've noticed a loss of some core strength.
