January Fitness Goals

We are about to embark on a huge adventure and period of transition! We're currently packing up our temporary apartment (we've lived here four months). 

We've spent a almost a year planning and preparing for our repatriation to Australia after ten years living in the USA. 

Step 1: our dogs are picked up on the 4th of January to start their journey to Perth which takes 2+ weeks. 

Step 2: Hubby and I road trip to Los Angeles via Cortez, Moab, Las Vegas, Death valley, Cambria. We fly out of LAX on January 15th. 

Step 3: visit Hubby's parents in Noosa Queensland overnight.

Step 4: fly to Perth on January the 19th and our shipping container of belongings is delivered January 23rd.

So that's a lot of upheaval, hotels and change. So my January fitness goals are very minimalist and can be done in any hotel room or even outdoors.

Hopefully by mid February we'll be settled and I can set broader 2023 Health and Fitness Goals that incorporate:
  • Cycling
  • Golf
  • Walking
  • Hiking
  • Beachcombing 
  • Swimming
  • Yoga
  • Strength training
But these interim goals will help me avoid the feeling of treading water aimlessly and help keep just a little bit of regular activity in our lives. 
We may also hike in several places along the way (weather permitting) and will definitely walk lots in Cambria California at the beach. 

I've started drafting my 2023 goals but they are a work in progress, here's what I have so far:

Numbers two, eight and nine are somewhat vague but I'll be more specific once we're settled, they are really just a place holders until I have time to really consider and plan once settled. And I'm really planning to cycle more than once per week but that is a minimum number for whilst we're in the unpacking and setting up phase which could take a couple of months.
