Recommit to You
In the Northern hemisphere, I believe there is no coincidence that the January uptake in gym memberships and fitness equipment purchasing comes in the midst of the Fall/Winter season.
I believe our bodies naturally want to hibernate in Fall/Winter so by mid season we feel like sloths and want to recommit to ourselves.
That doesn't mean we've been lazy the last few months and suddenly feel fat and want to make temporary changes. It actually means we are biological creatures with complicated bodily systems.
So it's okay if January rocks around and you are ready to recommit to yourself!
I've had a crazy 2022 and am in the midst of recommiting to myself. International moves take an amazing amount of planning and steady implementation. So I'm not lacking willpower, commitment or drive. I've just been prioritizing.
But lately I've had the time to reassess, reprioritize and set new short term goals. Hubby has joined the fray and we are doing rather than planning during this limbo phase of our repatriation countdown!

My personal goals for 2023 are a little vague right now because goal number one is what 2023 is all about! I'll reset goals in February 2023 once hurdle one has been achieved. |
