Fitness equipment must haves!

Every person wants different things in their indoor fitness equipment toolbox, but here are my must haves:
General
  • A good yoga mat (heavy but no more than 6mm thick, good textured grip to prevent slipping, usually only about $20)
  • Yoga block
  • Dumbbells (various sizes 5, 8, 10, 15lb)
  • Foam roller
Fun extras I love:
  • Yoga wheel
  • Feet Up inversion trainer
  • Medicine ball
I love outdoor recreation too especially cycling, hiking and kayaking!
Hiking
  • Good walking/hiking shoes
  • Hiking fanny pack for water, car keys etc
  • In cold climates traction footwear for icy hike days
Cycling
  • Bike
  • Knicks (padded pants for comfort)
  • Straw water bottle
  • Clip-in cycling shoes
Kayaking
  • Kayak & paddle
  • Life vest
  • Kayaking gloves
  • Quick drying clothing (hiking clothes are perfect)
  • Water tolerant hiking sandals are a great footwear option for kayaking
  • Broad brimmed hat

I miss so much of this stuff ATM whilst living in a temporary apartment and just making do! Our shipping container has left the port of Seattle though, 👏 so it's all bound for Australia! I can't wait to set up our new home gym/yoga room in the Australian house in January. 

After teaching my morning yoga class, I walked the dogs and did 5 mins of Feet Up inversion practice!
