Walking Therapy
Yesterday we said our final goodbyes to our darling Maltipoo Ebony. She was almost 13yrs old and we were lucky to have had an extra 18mths with her since her congestive heart failure diagnosis in early 2021. She was also blind and deaf. The summer heat was beginning to really impact her health and quality of life.
She has left behind not only two devastated humans but two dogs that adored her:Henry our Cockapoo and Zoe our Dorkie came to the vet with us to say their goodbyes and they did seem to comprehend that she was gone once her heart stopped.
So today I focused on spending time with them because they are truly miserable. So we decided that walking was the kind of therapy we needed today.
We did an early walk with hubby before he went to work:Then later in the day I walked them again just to distract them from their misery. So we've walked for 90 mins today. It's definitely improving my mood. I also cycled almost 4 miles for the Trevor Project Pride Ride 2022 June challenge:
