Unmotivated? Habit is the key!

Like many people I am not always feeling motivated to workout. But my workout time has become a habit, so my day feels incomplete until I do something for my health and fitness. 
The key in my opinion is to start small. 
Example 1: promise yourself you'll do ten minutes. That's not long. But usually by the end of ten minutes I feel I can do more. 
Example 2: focus on non-strenous stretch type exercise if you need to! But do something!
Obviously there are days your body needs rest but if you start to string too many of those together you risk lapsing in your forward momentum towards your goals.
