Goal Review
One of my major goals at the start of this year was plank. I wanted to hold it longer and strengthen my arms (particularly wrists) and core.
I didn't really focus on my plank challenge once I started on YTT in March. But plank has been a regular part of my yoga practice. Here's my assessment of my progress:- My wrists are much stronger
- I no longer need to use the step stool (incline plank variation)
- I can hold plank for 30+secs
So overall my improvement is terrific.
I'm now working on improving my side plank!
And usually transition that into Wild Thing pose: This is a strenuous poses for me! |
Tip: take photos, you won't believe your progress! Seeing it really feels great. I use an inexpensive cell phone tripod I bought on Amazon for less than $10 and the ten second timer function on my cell phone camera.
