Colorado Springs Hiking
There's tons of great hiking around Colorado Springs, which is probably why it's taken it's 8+ years living in Colorado to get around to hiking Pulpit Rock. But it was totally worth the effort!
Climbing up wasn't as strenuous as I expected! The view on top was terrific in every direction especially views towards Pikes Peak and Cheyenne Mountain.
It was a rocky trail with a few butt scooting sections:
But whenever I stopped to catch my breath there was a fabulous view to enjoy!
And the moody clouds hanging around the mountaintops really made the photos gorgeous!
I did the hike with my hubby Matt who was equally impressed with the hike and views.
After reaching Pulpit Rock we hiked across the saddle that joins it to the nearby mesa/ridge and it was a lovely addition to our hike.
We'll definitely do this hike again sometime!
It's a reasonably short hike however the elevation gain and rocky terrain make it challenging at times but I'd definitely highly recommend it.
