Getting Back to Working Out After an Illness
Getting back to working out after an illness is always tough, whether you are sick for 4 days or 4 months.
My 3 tips for getting back to exercise are:
1. Take it easy - e.g. walk or do slow yoga
2. Hydrate! Drink lots of water
3. Only do what feels good! Pushing it too hard could make you relapse.
I've been sick for 4 days but yesterday I felt well enough to do an hour of yoga (at my own slow pace)
I even did elevated downward facing dog which is quite strenuous:

I truly hope I feel even better tomorrow! I'm so sick of the couch and TV!
Remember talking a break when you don't feel 100% is a necessary self care technique. But getting back to exercise when you are well enough feels great!
