Trail Running

I've never been a distance runner even in high school I was okay in the 100 meter dash but not any other distance. And my middle-aged ankles always gave me grief if I tried running in recent years but ... 

Since I've been doing so much yoga this year my ankles are much stronger! So I've been trail running on a weekly basis to test out my newfound ankle resilience!

This was today's 2.5 miles. 
I walk on the uphill sections and run on the downhill sections because running will always be strenuous thanks to my tracheobronchomalacia (soft/narrow/collapsing trachea and bronchial passages) but hopefully with slow practice my ankles will be okay with a weekly run added to my health and fitness regimen! Only time will tell.
