OMG
Hubby and I enjoy golfing, it's great outdoor recreation! This time of year ride on electric golf carts aren't allowed on many of the courses as the grass is regenerating after a cold winter. So we decided we wanted another push cart. Today we went out for our Pfizer vaccination and stopped in at a thrift store that I know often has lots of ancient athletic equipment such as golf clubs. They had three push carts. We bought two, one for us and one for a friend. When we got home we cleaned them up:
Then used a bit of WD40 on the mechanisms:This weekend will try out our golf bags and ensure the straps are all okay (I have plenty of strapping in my sewing studio if it needs replacing). But then we relaxed for the afternoon and our minds got to thinking about how old they might be because they were extremely well made. So I googled it!
They are worth at least $100 eachOr possibly a lot more!
1950s era! They don't make them like that anymore!
I love finding vintage awesomeness, i was actually an antique dealer for 5 years.
We won't be selling them to realize their worth because we just love the mid century coolness they exude. I can't wait to gift the spare one to a golfing friend we play with!
