Core Focus


Yesterday I decided to set a focus for my weekday strength and flexibility exercises. Thursdays I will focus on my core strength.

I'm doing a year long plank challenge, see details by clicking on my 'Goals' tab above. Apart from that I'll do lots of Feet Up inversion and on Thursdays I'll spend 10mins doing exercise focused on core strength training.

Since my hysterectomy in 2015 strength training has become an absolute imperative! I find my muscles have less inate strength. For decades I was always a fairly strong person without having to work at it. The problem with that is that when mid life hits you don't have the routines in place to maintain the strength you have. 

Focusing on my core on Thursdays supplements my almost daily plank and my feet up inversion training to ensure I am working my core in different ways throughout each week. 

I used my heaviest medicine ball today 👌👏
